Precautions for valve arrester installation

(1) The installation of the valve type arrester should be easy to inspect and inspect. It should be installed vertically without tilting, the leads should be connected firmly, and the terminals on the arrester should not be stressed;

(2) The porcelain sleeve of the valve type arrester shall be free of cracks, sealed well and qualified by preventive test;

(3) The installation position of the valve type arrester should be as close as possible to the protected equipment. The maximum electrical distance between the arrester and the 3-10kV transformer, the single incoming line that is often operated during the thunderstorm season is no more than 15m, the double incoming line is no more than 23m, and the three incoming lines are not more than 27m. (5) The lead section of the valve type arrester should not be less than: copper wire - 16rmn2; aluminum wire - 25mm2.

(6) The valve type arrester grounding down conductor and the metal casing of the protected equipment should be reliably connected to the grounding grid. A single-group valve type arrester on the line has a grounding resistance of 5Ω.
