Tianjin Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. launched the Xiali TJ7131U bridge at the turn of the century, using the 8A-FE engine produced by Tianjin Toyota. The engine has 4 cylinders and 16 valves, electronically controlled fuel multi-point injection, double overhead camshaft, closed loop control and equipped with three-way catalytic converter, displacement 1.31L, rated power 63kW/6000rpm; maximum torque 1lON·m/5200rpm.

The chassis part of the vehicle basically maintains the original design of the TJ7100U. The total mass of the vehicle is 890kg, and the 5-speed manual transmission is used. The maximum speed is 165km/h; the acceleration time at various speeds is: 0→8Okm/h, 7.5s; →1OOkm/h, 11.3s; O→120km/h, the acceleration time of 16.350 from stationary +1000m is 33.75, and the braking distance of initial velocity of 100km/h is 53.8m. The fuel consumption per 100 kilometers of 6Okm/h is ≤5L.

The Toyota 8A-FE EFI engine control system is also composed of three parts: the intake system, the fuel supply system and the control system. The detection of helium flow is a silicon diaphragm type semiconductor pressure sensor; the water temperature sensor and the helium temperature sensor are thermistor elements with negative temperature coefficient; the distributor is a monolithic structure, which will ignite coil, ignition module and signal The generator is integrated, but its speed signal is sent to the computer via the NE+ and NE- terminals, and the ignition command given by the computer is sent by the IGT terminal to the Patek ignition module. The ignition module cuts off the primary current and the secondary high-voltage ignition confirmation signal appears. It must also return to the IGF terminal of the computer ECU. This shows that the ignition module of the distributor can only function as the last stage switch, and the ignition timing must be controlled by the computer ECU. The engine electronic control system circuit is shown in Figure 1.

Similar to other EFI engines, the 8A-FE engine control system can also perform idle stability control; exhaust emission pollution control; fault self-diagnosis. The control method is shown in Figure 1.
