Leading technology capacity

Q: What is the difference between Edison and the general LED packaging factory? What is the competitive advantage of Edison?

A: Among the listed companies of LED, Edison is a fairly pure LED lighting factory. The proportion of general lighting products is over 70%, while other packaging factories are currently low, about 5% to 10%. Edison believes that his main competitors are not in the country, but Cree, Osram, and Lumileds abroad.

Edison's competitive advantage is in technology. Since 2003, it has cut into LED lighting. In the layout of high-power LEDs for seven years, 72% of this year's revenue is 3 billion yuan, and LED lighting is used in the LED industry. The brand has reached six years, and the capacity will reach 50 million next year. It should be 10 times the capacity of the industry.

Home lighting drives growth

A: With the launch of LED lighting, Edison has maintained high growth in the past three years. In 2009, it grew 80% compared with 2008. In the first three quarters of this year, it has grown 90% compared with the same period of last year. Vertical integration of global grabs

Edison has extended its business focus to modules and finished products this year, and will strive for customer orders in a one-stop manner. Edison's production bases are in Taiwan, Dongguan, and Yangzhou. The Yangzhou plant is currently the largest LED lighting packaging base in Asia. The Yangzhou plant covers an area of ​​100 mu. The planned output value of the first phase is RMB 2 billion. The monthly maximum output value reached RMB 23 million. Edison will begin planning the second phase of the Yangzhou plant in the second half of next year.

In addition to years of research in light source technology, Edison has established the LDMS (Lighting Design Manufacturing Servic e) lighting integration system to provide vertical integration solutions from components and molds to finished products. A: The capital expenditure of equipment this year is about 250 million yuan, and it will reach 350 million yuan to 400 million yuan next year.
