In China, lighting electricity accounts for about 13% of total electricity consumption. The general lighting field such as indoor lighting, tunnel lighting, subway, road lighting, etc. has enormous energy saving potential. At present, in the field of general lighting, semiconductor lighting technology has just started, and is still in the pilot demonstration stage, but there have been some successful applications.

In the field of indoor lighting applications, LED downlights, LED spotlights and other products have been widely used in municipal lighting places such as large supermarkets, shopping malls, hotels, factories, etc. In tunnel lighting applications, Chongqing, Guizhou, Shaanxi, Jiangxi, Fujian, etc. 10 In other provinces and cities, 11,000 LED tunnel lights are used in about 12 tunnels with a length of more than 30 kilometers, and the energy-saving effect is over 50%. At present, some countries in the world have proposed to eliminate incandescent lamps and promote energy-saving lamps. Europe, the United States, Canada and other countries have clearly defined the "incandescent lamp ban" period. The Japanese government has issued policies to encourage enterprises or institutions to replace incandescent lamps with LED lights.

From the perspective of long-term development, the world lighting industry is undergoing transformation, and the semiconductor lighting industry will become a new economic growth point in the future. In China, as an important measure to promote energy conservation and emission reduction, expand consumer demand, and foster new economic growth points, the semiconductor lighting industry will usher in important development opportunities.

In order to promote the healthy development and technological innovation of China's semiconductor lighting industry and enhance the competitiveness of China's semiconductor lighting enterprises, CQC actively participates in the research and formulation of various LED policies. For some LED lighting products in the field of general lighting, according to the regulations promulgated by the Certification and Accreditation Administration, with reference to existing standards and IECEECTL resolutions, combined with their extensive experience in the certification of traditional lighting products, certification work has been carried out. There are three kinds of products that can be CCC certified: fixed general-purpose lamps that use LEDs as light sources, such as LED fluorescent lamps; portable lamps that use LEDs as light sources, such as LED desk lamps; embedded lamps that use LEDs as light sources, such as LED downlights , spotlights, etc. According to the requirements of compulsory certification, we have certified and issued certificates for these three types of lamps that use LEDs as light sources.

In order to meet the export demand of LED lighting products, the CBCE certificate for LED lighting products has been issued in 2008, and the LED products entering the CBCE certified product catalogue include LED lamps and LED controllers. LED products that can carry out CQC voluntary certification include all LED-based lighting products that already have product standards, such as LED street lights, LED emergency lights, LED light strings, etc., but only related to product safety and EMC projects.

At present, CQC is still continuously exploring and researching LED lighting product certification technology and continuously developing new certification business. However, as the LED lighting industry is still in a rapid development stage, a large number of products are still immature, a complete standard system has not yet been established, and testing equipment and testing methods need to be further clarified and unified, which makes our certification research work face many problems and challenges. .
