TridonicAtco is a subsidiary of the Zumtobel Group, which is based in Austria. Dialog Semiconductor is an integrated circuit designer based in Stuttgart, Germany. The two companies have formed a joint development center dedicated to the development of next-generation energy-efficient lighting technology.
This move has enhanced the long-term, fruitful collaboration between the two companies in the development of integrated circuits, such as the recently launched TridonicAtco XITEC family of chips.
The development center, based on the service concept, power management and signal processing technology of international experts in the field of lighting, is headquartered in Graz and Dornbirn, Austria.
The joint development team will develop innovative control ICs for traditional light sources such as fluorescent or HID lamps. At the same time, it also develops innovative control ICs for LED light sources. These devices will ensure optimal control of the processing technology and adjust the light source while maximizing its service life. Energy consumption is minimized through intelligent control ICs with advanced digital signal processing.
The partnership between the two companies will further advance their portfolio of patented product development and intellectual property in advanced lighting control and semiconductor process technology.
