The level 1 energy efficiency in the old standard of washing machine drums will be reduced to 5 in the new standard, which means that existing energy efficiency products of level 2 to level 5 will be eliminated.

According to the relevant person in charge of a home appliance store in Jiangcheng City, from the current market situation, after the implementation of the new national standard, the washing machine will be eliminated in half. Means that the washing machine that faces elimination can only sell at a reduced price.

Liu Zukun, manager of Gome Qingshan Store, believes that this standard is too strict. “Before washing machines enjoyed the widest range of national energy subsidies, it now appears that the original energy-saving products may be eliminated.”

However, Chen Shaohua, executive director of Wuhan Gome, said that "the new national energy subsidies have not received notification from the headquarters and there are no specific measures to deal with them."

Also affected by the inverter air conditioner. The new standard will increase the limit value of the energy efficiency of inverter air conditioners from the current 3.0 to 3.9, which indicates that the original grade one and two energy efficiency air conditioners will be automatically reduced by one level, and a higher standard level 1 energy efficiency rating will be added. An air conditioner counter salesman told reporters that after the cancellation of energy-saving subsidies, the frequency conversion of three air conditioners due to low prices, accounting for about 30% of total sales. After the implementation of the new standard, this part of the product will face delisting.

Industry insiders believe that by the end of July, it will be the clearing period for Grade 3 energy-efficient air conditioners. In fact, the stores have spontaneously adjusted their product mix and expanded the proportion of energy-efficient products. At present, most air-conditioning energy efficiency indexes are above 3.9.
