Yesterday, the 2011 Guangdong LED Lighting Industry Development Summit Forum and the Guangdong Lighting Association Annual Meeting were held in Jiangmen. More than 350 provincial lighting companies participated in the forum. Experts from South China University of Technology and Guangzhou University expressed their views on the hot issues of "LED Enterprise Brand Building Problems and Countermeasures".
Relevant persons from the Provincial Economic and Information Committee said at the meeting that the state will formulate measures to phase out incandescent lamps and promote energy-saving lamps. According to experts, it is expected that in 2011, the country will ban the sales and import of more than 100 watts of incandescent lamps. Starting from 2014, LEDs will directly compete with traditional light sources such as energy-saving lamps. It is expected that LED lighting products will be in 2012. Started to enter the general lighting field in China, and applied in places such as high-end hotels, office buildings, hospitals, etc. The promotion and application of LEDs puts higher requirements on the LED industry and also creates more room for development of LEDs.
The reporter also learned at the meeting that the LED industry in Jiangmen City achieved rapid development under the stimulation of preferential policies and support measures introduced by the municipal government. In 2010, the output value reached 13.698 billion yuan, an increase of 44% over the previous year.
