SDIC Power released a performance forecast on the evening of July 11th. It is expected that net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies will exceed RMB 1.1 billion in the first half of the year, which will increase by more than 5662% compared with the same period of last year.

According to statistics, SDIC's main power projects for hydropower and large-scale thermal power projects have a net profit of RMB 1.054 billion for 2012, and RMB 471 million for the first quarter of 2013, an increase of 2522.07% year-on-year.

The company explained that the growth in performance was due to the decline in coal purchase prices in the first half of the year and a significant increase in thermal power performance. At the same time, the water supply of the Ertan hydropower station of the company was better than the same period last year and the new investment units of the hydropower station of Guandi and Jinping, and the hydropower performance increased significantly year-on-year.
