1, LED Light effect

The problem of LED luminous efficiency has been a huge obstacle to its application in commercial lighting, but now this problem is being gradually solved. Table 1 shows the technical parameters of 1W high-power white LEDs of major manufacturers in 2006. To analyze the data in Table 1, we have reason to believe that the basic conditions for entering the era of semiconductor lighting are already in place.

2. Optical secondary development

The secondary optical development of LED luminaires plays a very important role in the overall luminaire design process and should be a priority in the overall design process of the luminaire. Precautions in optical secondary development:

(1) Position of optical secondary development in luminaire design

The rational design process for luminaire design is as follows (not limited to LED luminaires here):

Lighting design of lighting → control circuit design → structural design

As can be seen from the design process, the lighting design of the luminaire should be prioritized.

(2) Selection of optical device form

Common LED optics are available in the form of reflectors and lenses, each with its own advantages and limitations, and should be selected as needed. Compared to the reflector, the lens has a large loss of light, and the lens still has dispersion problems; however, when dealing with the light distribution requirements of small angles (for example, beam angles below 20o), the reflector will be awkward, and the lens It is easier.

(3) Inclusion of visual science research

The ultimate goal of lighting is to serve people and provide a comfortable visual effect for human work and life. Therefore, it is necessary to incorporate the research results of human visual science into the light distribution design of lamps. However, what is lacking is that, in addition to research conducted by individual research institutions, most companies have not done this work for the time being. In the long run, we need to do this meaningful work.

3. Serialization of high-power LED lamps

The application of high-power LEDs to commercial lighting is a new thing, and the serialization of products is not yet mature. At present, there are only a few large companies (such as Philips, ERCO, etc.) in foreign countries who are doing this work. There are few companies in China that are trying to do this. After hard work, Hong Kong Zhenmingli Group has made certain achievements in the serialization of high-power LED lamps.
