Cree and Digi-Key signed a distribution agreement to sell Cree's high-performance LEDs. Founded in 1972, Digi-Key sells electronic components and accessories, and has been selling Cree's energy-saving products since 2007. In addition, Cree has signed an agreement with multi-domain, high-service distributor PremierFarnell to distribute Cree's full range of standard LEDs worldwide.
According to Cree's global vice president, Digi-Key broadens Cree's ability to open up a growing market; PremierFarnell has a global customer base to sell CreeLED products to customers who are planning and already using high-brightness LEDs.
Agreement with Digi-Key
It is related to CreeLED series products, including XLampLED and high brightness series products. CreeLED products can be purchased through Digi-Key's website and will be printed in the future.
Agreement with PremierFarnell
Includes the XLamp line of products featuring Cree's latest technology. These products will be sold through companies such as Newark, Farnell, PremierElectronics and Farnell-Newark, which are covered by the company's global marketing network, including 35 sites, as well as paper catalogs and sales of specialty sales staff.
