However, on the whole, thanks to the national energy conservation policy, the orders in the first half of the year were full, and the product development focus was developing in the direction of energy saving and efficiency. The reporter learned from the National Bureau of Statistics that in the first half of this year, the enterprises above designated size in the lighting and electrical appliance industry completed a total industrial output value of 52.104 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 24.23%; the main business income was 49.297 billion yuan, an increase of 28.28%.
Imports increase more than exports
According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs, the export volume of the lighting appliance industry in the first half of the year was 4.256 billion US dollars, an increase of 26.92% over the same period of last year, accounting for 4.09% of the export of light industrial products. Among them, the total export of electric light source products was 1.218 billion US dollars, accounting for 28.62% of the total export of lighting electrical products, an increase of 33.15%.
This year has a major feature, and exports are mainly based on energy-saving products. Gao Fei, deputy secretary general of the China Lighting Society, said.
Chen Yansheng believes that this is mainly because some countries in the European Union have announced that they will phase out old-fashioned incandescent bulbs. Among the proposals proposed by the European Lighting Enterprise Alliance, it is planned to gradually replace energy-intensive incandescent bulbs with energy-saving bulbs by 2015.
Facts have proved that the first half of the year, the export volume growth is faster, energy-saving electric light source products. Metal halide lamps increased by 60% year-on-year; fluorescent lamps and discharge lamps increased by 42.2% year-on-year; electronic rectifiers increased by 34.32%.
Gao Fei said that in recent years, the EU has implemented RoHS, WEEE, EuP and other orders, forming barriers to corporate exports. More and more Chinese companies have been actively responding from the initial efforts, taking the initiative to prevent and mature in actual combat. For example, the LED industry, under the leadership of the National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance, responded quickly to the sudden US 337 investigation, greatly reducing the risks that companies face in export.
Gao Fei also said that the increase in imports over exports is another feature of the industry. Although the import value was only 792 million US dollars, it increased by 49.17% over the same period of last year, far exceeding the growth rate of exports. Among them, the total import of electric light source products was 670 million US dollars, accounting for 84.60% of the total imports of lighting electrical products, an increase of 52.56%.
The products with higher import growth are: electronic rectifiers increased by 122.06%, electric light source parts increased by 66.98%, and fluorescent lamps and discharge lamps increased by 63.68%.
Increased future pressure
Despite the good overall business conditions of the industry, some companies still face great difficulties.
Raw material prices and labor costs have risen, and downstream industries such as real estate and building materials have been affected by macroeconomic regulation and control, resulting in further deterioration of the business environment. The company has expanded its production capacity and the orders are full, but it does not mean that the company has no risks in the future. Gao Fei said.
The data shows that the export volume of high-energy incandescent lamps and HID lamps has declined overall, which is undoubtedly directly related to the elimination of high-energy-consuming products such as incandescent lamps in countries such as Europe. Despite the continuous increase in product output, corporate profits have continued to decrease.
Affected by factors such as the appreciation of the renminbi and the subprime mortgage crisis in the United States, the foreign market in the lighting industry has shrunk severely, and a large number of products have been converted into domestic sales, and competition in the market will intensify in the future. In the first half of the year, the company's operating income increased by 19.73%, while net profit decreased by 26.59%. The company believes that due to rising costs, the gross profit margin of various products has declined. The operating income of the main product intubation lamp series increased by 50.72%, but the cost increased by 56.64%, causing the gross profit margin to fall by 2.71%. The gross profit margin of the HID lamp series even dropped by 17.44%. In addition, the selling price of export products brought about by the appreciation of the renminbi has decreased, resulting in a foreign exchange loss of 1,095,500 yuan; the company added bank loans, interest expenses of 627,400 yuan, reducing operating profit.
In the first half of the year, Foshan Lighting's electric light source products increased by 16.54%. The main reason for the increase in operating income is that the production of new production lines has increased production capacity. The company's gross profit margin was 20%, down 1.23 percentage points year-on-year. The reason was the appreciation of the RMB exchange rate and the increase in prices of raw materials such as copper, heavy oil and petroleum, which accounted for about 21% of the total cost.
