Immersv Releases VR Advertising Report Conversion Rate Ultra Mobile Internet

A report by Immersv, a VR advertising service provider based in Amillyville, stated that for virtual reality applications, selectable video ads perform better than pre-roll ads. Their data shows that the conversion rate for select video ads is 37% higher than that of the pre-video ads.

Since August 2016, the conversion rate for in-app optional video ads has been 27.1%. In contrast, the conversion rate for in-app front video ads was 19.8%. Although both have higher conversion rates than mobile ads, the conversion rate of selectable video ads is 37% higher than that of pre-roll ads.

Immersv also found that Samsung’s devices still dominated Immersv’s VR advertising network. In August, 74% of devices belonged to Samsung, followed by 4.6 percent of LG. The other equipment divided the remaining 21.4%. Among all the devices, the Galaxy S6 and S7 occupy 36.1%. Among the top 7 devices, Samsung's other five devices are on the list.
